Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake.

Front of Woodman's Cottage38 viewsAs best we can tell, the front boundary of Woodman's Cottage is circa 8.9 meters from the front (south) of the Woodman's Cottage garage. This photograph was taken from the west, facing towards the east. Marjorie is standing behind the hedge at the point 8.9 meters south of the front of the cottage. Assuming we're correct (and our surveyor is checking this now) the area to the right (south) of the red line is our property.

Wild Boar on the Compacted Hard Core17 viewsTo provide better drainage of their paddock, we installed this compacted hard core (about three feet thick) on the higher part of the paddock. This drains very well, so the boar aren't always on clay.

Photographs of Screws from Top Hinges35 viewsThese screws were removed from the top hinges: they connect the hinge to the large gate posts. The screw on the left is from the southern gate post, and measures 1 3/8 inch. The screw on the right is from the northern gate post, and measures 3 1/2 inches. I showed this photograph to Marjorie thinking she'd be surprised. She said that the screws on the right (northern) gate all started to pop out, so Nigel replaced them on the day he came to pick up his cheque.May 30, 2010
